Clockwork Orange

Clockwork Orange is an evenly balanced 50/50 hybrid that was developed over 6 to 7 years by Matthew Riot of Riot Seed Co. As the story goes, after moving to San Diego, Matt first came across this strain while trading clones with a collector of rare strains and elite clone-only’s referred to only as Crazy Doug. Crazy Doug held a specific clone of interest with a unique leaf mutation which caused a leaf crinkle pattern during early veg. Matt Riot claims this clone to be the most potent plant he has ever encountered. Her lineage is not yet confirmed. According to Crazy Doug, this strain was derived from Alaskan Ice bagseed from Green House Seeds in Amsterdam, although Matt Riot suspects Clockwork Orange to be either a cross of G13 x Black Widow or a mix of Afghani, Skunk #1 and Haze genetics. It is also interesting to note that each time Matt Riot tried breeding out the leaf mutation, the plant’s potency decreased dramatically. 

TASTE & SMELL –

Clockwork Orange buds put out a pungent aroma that is mainly earthy with some hints of spice. Taste is a spicy blend of herbal and woody flavors.

EFFECTS –

Known for her potent effects, Clockwork Orange offers a long-lasting introspective high that’s not for the faint-hearted. She provides intense cerebral effects that are heavy and hazy with the addition of body-numbing couch-lock traits.

MEDICAL USES –

Medically, Clockwork Orange is great for alleviating symptoms of anxiety by bringing deep relaxation and a warm sense of calm.

GROW INFO –

Considered an easy grow, Clockwork Orange is ideal for those new to cannabis cultivation. She is suitable for both indoors and out, thriving in Mediterranean-like conditions. Her structure is heavily Indica influenced, although when grown outdoors, she can reach heights ranging from 6 to 12 ft depending on phenotype. She produces lumpy roundish buds with rich purple undertones, furry hairs and a goldish-orange complexion when cured correctly. Indoors, her flowering period ranges from eight to ten weeks and is ready for harvest by late October when grown outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere. Clockwork Orange plants produce narrow leaves during early veg that become wider towards late veg. This strain has germination issues due to its strong seed casing and scuffing techniques are advised by Riot Seeds.
