Acapulco Gold is a legendary Sativa-dominant hybrid landrace strain that has an impressive THC content averaging around 23%. Originating from Mexico, this historic strain was recorded in The 1964 edition of the Oxford English Dictionary. Described as a “special grade cannabis grown in the vicinity of Acapulco”. Found in the Guerrero Mountains just outside the famous city, the original plant’s exact genetic lineage is unknown. Regardless, Acapulco Gold has gone on to parent some of the most popular marijuana strains of modern times, such as the Skunk #1 hybrid.
