Agent Orange, also known as “Agent O” was made by Mz Jill, during her time at TGA Subcool. This hybrid was made by crossing two phenomenal plants from their stable, Orange Velvet and Jack the Ripper. The Orange Velvet clone was a very old cut that Mz Jill was given by growers in Oregon by way of thanking her and her son for installing a D.W.C growing system for their medical grow. Agent Orange was named in honor and remembrance of Jill’s father who served and succumbed to the effects of Agent Orange during the Vietnam war.
This pairing allows the taste of the Indica leaning Orange Velvet to dominate and shine through while traits of the Sativa-leaning Jack the Ripper are apparent with a larger branchier frame, a long stretch and an overdrive of resin production in the latter weeks of flowering. The resulting buds are dense, heavy, verdant green, peppered with orange pistils and have a distinctive flat top cola look to them.
TASTE & SMELL –
The taste and aromas are primarily freshly peeled oranges, hints of mango, lemon and slight cedar wood spicy after taste.
The effects of Agent Orange can be described as, good mood, a bit trippy, exhilarating and thought-provoking. The uplifting high is perfect for a morning get up and go smoke. Good for focusing and zoning in on a task at hand and enhancing the creative mind.
MEDICAL USES –
Medically, Agent Orange has been known to be used to treat depression, anxiety, migraine and nausea.
GROW INFO –
From most accounts, Agent Orange has proved an easy grow, those with even basic growing skills achieving above average results. Indoors she will require 60 days plus to reach maturity and can be cropped to produce a full canopy of heavy buds. Agent Orange is also a favorite with outdoor growers with plants reaching heights of 10 feet plus with over towering blockhead colas!
SEED AVAILABILITY –
Although Agent Orange was discontinued under the TGA Subcool banner some time ago, the company eventually split up and was rebranded as Subcools The Dank and Mz Jill Genetics was also formed. The companies genetic library was divided up and fortunately, seeds were recently made available for purchase again in both regular and feminized forms directly from Mz Jill Genetics’ website.
