Sour Tsunami is a Sativa leaning hybrid that was created by Lawrence Ringo of Southern Humboldt Seed Collective (SoHum). This multiple award-winning strain is a cross of Ringo’s own in-house strain Double Diesel (NYC Diesel x Sour Diesel) and Sour Diesel. According to Lawrence, the NYC Diesel came through Canadian cannabis rights activist Marc Emery. Lawrence Ringo developed Sour Tsunami specifically to deal with his own severe back pain that he had been suffering from since early adolescence. Around 25% of her phenotypes can produce up to 11% CBD with minimal accompanied psychoactivity and THC levels ranging from only 6% to 7%.
TASTE & SMELL –
Sour Tsunami’s bouquet is a combination of musky pine and diesel-like notes. Once blazed, she has a strong creamy taste, accompanied by sweet undertones.
EFFECTS –
The psychoactive effects of this herb are minimal due to its low THC content, although it is common for smokers to experience some heightened focus with mild uplifting effects.
MEDICAL USES –
Medically, Sour Tsunami is a CBD-rich hybrid that can be used to help treat a wide range of medical issues. This strain has been marketed towards those suffering from seizures and epilepsy. She is also great for pain relief without the clogged head.
GROW INFO –
Sour Tsunami is considered a fairly difficult plant to cultivate and probably not the best choice for the novice grower. She produces tall large forest green plants with some phenotypes displaying purple traits. Her flowers are dark green, tight and dense. Sour Tsunami has an indoor flowering period of nine to ten weeks. While outdoors she is ready for harvest by October when grown in the Northern Hemisphere.
SEED AVAILABILITY –
For those interested in acquiring Sour Tsunami genetics from the original breeder SoHum, it should be noted that they are a company that primarily caters to the Californian Medical Marijuana market and no stock is currently listed. There are other versions of Sour Tsunami made by other breeders available on the market. We cannot attest to their authenticity in comparison with the original. As always we encourage the buyer to protect themselves from disappointment by checking the reputation of the vendor and provenance of genetics when possible.
