Orange Bud

Orange Bud is a strain that was bred by Dutch Passion in the 1980s. This strain is a 90% Sativa dominant hybrid cannabis strain with an impressive 16% to 22% THC content and 0.3% CBD. This award-winning cross is a mix of two original Skunk cultivars, making it 100% Skunk. Popular with consumers, Orange Bud took 3rd place in the HighLife Hemp Fair for the Best Coffeeshop category in Amsterdam 2002, and in 2006 it walked away with 3rd place again at La Revolta Verda’s for the Popular Vote category in Girona, Spain.

It can produce up to 24 ounces per square meter indoors and with expert knowledge, can reach an astonishing 34 ounces per plant outdoors. Orange Bud is moderately easy to cultivate, making it ideal for novice growers, a cakewalk for experienced cultivators and all in all a pleasurable grow! This plant responds well to training and Sea of Green (SOG) cultivation method is recommended for increasing yields.

It should be noted that Orange Bud displays considerable stretch and will double in size during early flowering. This forgivable variety can handle heavy feeding and has a great bud to leaf ratio. Despite this strain’s vigorous and easy growth pattern, she has a tendency to produce male flowers if over-stressed.
