ACDC, short for “Alternative Cannabinoid Dietary Cannabis” is an evenly balanced 50/50 hybrid that was created in 2011 by Dr. William Courtney from a Cannatonic phenotype. Dr. William Courtney, a member of the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine acquired the Cannatonic seeds from her original breeder at Resin Seeds whilst searching for new genetics in Barcelona, Spain. This award-winning strain has an impressive 20:1 CBD to THC ratio and was developed for medical use, specifically for juicing cannabis leaves as a dietary supplement.

TASTE & SMELL –

ACDC buds have an earthy aroma with hints of cherry and lemon. Her smoke is primarily woody along with pleasing notes of cherry and fresh berries.

EFFECTS –

Although ACDC’s psychoactive effects are minimal, some users have described feelings of full-body relaxation. It may also help increase the user’s focus after use and may help to elevate mood resulting in positive feelings.

MEDICAL USES –

Medically, ACDC’s low THC count makes it possible for patients to receive medical benefits with little to no psychoactive effects. This strain is useful in the management of depression, PTSD and easing the negative effects of Multiple Sclerosis and tremors caused by Parkinson’s Disease.

GROW INFO –

Regarding cultivation, ACDC is considered a moderately difficult strain to grow. Known to produce finicky plants with a bushy structure that requires sufficient support and a close eye as she is also prone to common pests and plant disease. She grows medium-height, reaching 4 feet on average with feathery leaves that develop purple hues when exposed to cooler climates and is known to yield fluffy yet tight buds. ACDC is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation, although outdoors requires warm and dry conditions to reach full potential. She has an indoor flowering period of nine to ten weeks and is ready for harvest by mid-October when grown outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere.

SEED AVAILABILITY –

For those interested in acquiring ACDC genetics, it should be noted that this is a clone-only strain.
