White Widow is an Indica leaning hybrid cross of Brazilian Sativa and South Indian Indica. She was first created by veteran breeder Shantibaba back in 1994 whilst working at Green House Seeds in Amsterdam. This multiple award-winning strain was later recreated from original genetics by Shantibaba after his split from Green House Seeds and renamed “Black Widow” due to losing all rights to her original name. Shantibaba went on to open his own seed company, Mr. Nice Seeds and currently still offers this stain.

White Widow is considered an easy grow and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. She grows short with a compact structure and relatively short uniform branching. A prized strain amongst hash lovers and extract artists, White Widow’s pale green buds are known for heavy resin production and high trichome count. These fat buds require support during the later stages of flowering and Green House Seeds recommend the utilization of Screen of Green cultivation method. This strain has partial resistance to mold and also handles cooler climates reasonably well. She has an eight to nine week indoor flowering period and is ready for harvest by late September when grown outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere.
