Querkle

Querkle is an Indica dominant hybrid that was created by TGA Subcool. It is a strain that took over 10 years of development. This award-winning strain is a cross of Purple Urkle and Space Queen. The Space Queen male was used in the cross with the intention of reducing the notoriously long vegetative stage of the Urkle mother. Additionally, Subcool has also stated that he made Querkle for breeding purposes, specifically for infusing purple traits in future hybrid projects.

TASTE & SMELL –

Querkle’s aroma profile is a fruity mix of grape and berries with musty and candied undertones. Taste is quite similar to the strain’s smell, producing a pleasantly sweet, earthy flavor and a candy-grape backend.

EFFECTS –

Querkle offers a complex range of effects, from a soaring Sativa head high to a soothing mellow body sensation. Querkle is probably better suited for nighttime use with her heavily sedating and lethargic effects encouraging contentment in an inactive manner. Although Querkle has a narcotic high, it is remarkably fog-free and the cerebral buzz is focused and alert.

MEDICAL USES –

Medically this strain has been known to be helpful in the treatment of hypertension, stress and anxiety. Those suffering from insomnia have also noted Querkle’s ability to induce a relaxing deep sleep.

GROW INFO –

Querkle is a relatively easy plant to grow and a good choice for the novice grower. She has a short flowering period of around 8 weeks and can be grown with success both indoors and out. This sturdy plant grows short and compact with potential yields of up to 14 ounces per square meter indoors and up to 16 ounces per plant is achievable when grown outdoors. Querkle produces multiple phenotypes, two of note are the Urkle dominated pheno which is purple and short and the Space Queen dominant pheno which is lime green and tall. For best results, Subcool recommends vegging plants into a large bush before flipping to flowering stage.

For those interested in acquiring Querkle genetics. It should be noted that they have been unavailable for some time directly from TGA Subcool. As things stand who knows if they will ever be made again.
