Aceh

Aceh is a 100% landrace Sativa that comes from Indonesia. Cannabis was reputed to have been first brought to Indonesia by the Dutch in the 18th century. Aceh Province lies at the northern tip of the island of Sumatra. Ultra Islamic and the only place in the whole country that enforces Sharia Law, Aceh also has the perverse reputation of being a Mecca for Cannabis. On the hippy trail of the 1960s and ’70s, cannabis was freely available and tolerated there until 1976 when Indonesia signed up to the United Nations Single Convention On Narcotic Drugs. Currently, it was recently reported that authorities believe that an area seven times the size of Singapore is being used for the cultivation of cannabis in Aceh Province with Police recording annual seizures of over 100 tonnes.

In these changing times, plans are currently underway in Aceh specifically for the legalization of cannabis as a medical export product. Law Makers of Indonesia are drafting legislation to propose changes in the law to allow them to jump on the lucrative Medical Marijuana bandwagon. Currently, Indonesia has some of the harshest laws in the world concerning cannabis.

TASTE & SMELL –

The scent of the flowers is said to have a pungent damp earthy and sweet chocolate scent. The smoke is tropical and woody with a hint of spice.

EFFECTS –

With THC around the 10 to 12% Aceh has the uncanny ability to surprise the smoker with a spectacular head high that is focused but happy and mellow.

MEDICAL USES –

Medically it has the same benefits in general with Sativas including fatigue, stress and depression.

GROW INFO –

This landrace Sativa of Aceh grows tall and thin, its lateral branches being viney and unruly. No growing info available but most probably a very long flowering Sativa at 15 weeks+. Aceh is not the most beautiful of cured flowers with bags often containing seeds, stems, ropey, loose and stringy buds.
