Vietnamese Black is a pure Sativa landrace that originates from Vietnam.

TASTE & SMELL –

Vietnamese Black flowers are typical of tropical Sativas with a bouquet that is predominately citrusy with notes of earthy wood and a slight hint of fuel. Her smoke has a pleasant sweet citrus tinge with hints of sharp peppery spice, wood and fuel on the backend.

EFFECTS –

Sometimes known as “Laughing Grass”, Vietnamese Black is renowned for her ability to put a smile on even the grumpiest of people. This upbeat herb is both mentally and physically energizing with a high that has no ceiling! Her soaring effects can be somewhat overwhelming for those with low tolerance to Cannabis and she should be respected accordingly. This pure Sativa landrace can be almost psychedelic at times with some reports of auditory anomalies.

MEDICAL USES –

Medically, Vietnamese Black can be beneficial for those suffering from fatigue and general malaise. Her energizing and mood-improving qualities can also help break down social barriers and be a calming influence for those with a nervous disposition.

GROW INFO –

Vietnamese Black is considered a relatively difficult strain to cultivate. Her long flowering period and temperamental nature make her more suited for the experienced grower. She is stereotypical in many of the traits of South East Asian Sativas. Growing tall with many side branches, her leaves are thin and narrow and display hues from green to bluey/black. Her leaves also have the propensity to reach up to thirteen digits. She can be grown indoor but height may be an issue so veg time is best kept to a minimum! Outdoor she will thrive in hot dry climates with adequate watering. Her flowering period is 14 to 16 weeks making her a no-go outdoors for areas where the frost sets early.

SEED AVAILABILITY –

For those seeking Vietnamese Black genetics, it should be noted there has recently been a renaissance of this once extremely rare strain. Snowhigh Seeds and Doc D Seeds are two breeders with solid reputations that have recently worked with her. Doc D has released an S1 version as well as a multitude of interesting crosses including other landrace genetics. As always we recommend checking the provenance and reputation of the vendor if possible before making any purchases. Things aren’t always what they seem in this wacky weed business!
