Pure Afghan

Pure Afghan is a 100% pure Indica strain that was selected from landrace genetics. Originating from the Mazari Sharif region of Afghanistan. She was developed by DNA Genetics and is the seed company’s first strain to be selected from seed stock outside of Holland. Furthermore, it has been rumored that DNA Genetics sourced these seeds through Soma of Soma’s Sacred Seeds.

TASTE & SMELL –

These landrace buds produce a sweet earthy aroma with acrid notes and spicy, hashy hints. Once blazed, smokers can expect smooth woody and herbal flavors followed by a distinct minty aftertaste.

EFFECTS –

This strain’s effects are quite typical of Afghani landrace genetics. Pure Afghan produces a heavy narcotic Indica high that slowly creeps up but leads to tranquil sedation and a state of deep relaxation.

MEDICAL USES –

Medically, this strain has displayed potential in the treatment of chronic pain and can also help relieve inflammation. As well as pain conditions associated with arthritis.

GROW INFO –

Pure Afghan is a fair representation of the general Afghani genotype, producing short, hardy and compact plants with big broad leaves. These bushy plants are relatively easy to grow and will benefit from careful pruning to reveal shaded bud sites. This strain has a short flowering cycle of only seven to eight weeks and is a viable option as a cash crop. Traditionally cultivated for the production of hashish, her super resinous buds are also perfect for making concentrates.

SEED AVAILABILITY –

Those interested in obtaining Pure Afghan genetics should note that this strain was discontinued by the breeder some time ago. Currently clone availability is unknown. However “Pure Afghan” genetics are not exclusive to DNA Genetics and there are many strains with the same Afghani traits available from other sources.
