Lineage :

(Mazar I Sharif)

Mazar I Sharif is a 100% pure legendary Afghani heirloom strain that originates from the lowland desert oasis towns of Balkh and Mazari Sharif in the far north of Afghanistan, just beyond the Hindu Kush mountains. In this region, she is called “Balkhi” or “Mazar” by local cultivators who have been utilizing this plant for generations in order to produce hand-pressed hashish/charas, also known as “Shirak I Mazar” and “Milk of Mazar”.

Mazar I Sharif buds emit an intense sweet hashy aroma, typical to the Afghanica genotype commonly found in that region. She provides smokers with a sweet citrusy flavor and a mildly spicy back-end.

Mazar I Sharif delivers a strong narcotic high that can often lead to a relaxed state of euphoric bliss. It’s also important to mention that this strain is very potent. Her sedative qualities can be overwhelming to the point of uselessness!

Mazar I Sharif promotes both psychical and mental relaxation, benefitting patients dealing with day-to-day aches and helping them relieve stress. This state of deep relaxation can also help relieve muscle tension, assisting those dealing with muscle spasms and inflammation.

This strain produces plants that display the trait of having a main central cola and thick stems with classic wide dark leaves in typical Indica fashion. She can grow quite tall for a pure Indica, reaching heights of 3 to 4 meters when grown outdoors. When this strain is grown in cooler climates, Mazar I Sharif carries the trait of producing red stems and stigmas.

For those wishing to obtain Mazar I Sharif genetics, seeds are available for purchase in regular form from various seed banks. At the time of writing the following vendors are legitimate; Ace Seeds, Seedsman and The Real Seed Company.
