Grapefruit aka Sweet Pink Grapefruit is a Sativa dominant hybrid that was developed by Breeder Steve of Spice of Life Seeds. Breeder Steve was given a specific clone with unknown lineage back in 94 from a fellow breeder who claimed to have held the cut for over 17 years. The clone is said to have originated from Seattle and was referred to as “The Only Thing Worth Growing”. After growing out the clone-only, Breeder Steve suspected it to be derived from an early version of Northern Lights. The skilled breeder later pollinated the unknown cutting with a Jolly Rancher male, resulting in the Grapefruit we know today. Grapefruit quickly gained popularity within the British Columbia cannabis scene and still remains a popular choice for modern breeding projects.
