Grapefruit aka Sweet Pink Grapefruit is a Sativa dominant hybrid that was developed by Breeder Steve of Spice of Life Seeds. Breeder Steve was given a specific clone with unknown lineage back in 94 from a fellow breeder who claimed to have held the cut for over 17 years. The clone is said to have originated from Seattle and was referred to as “The Only Thing Worth Growing”. After growing out the clone-only, Breeder Steve suspected it to be derived from an early version of Northern Lights. The skilled breeder later pollinated the unknown cutting with a Jolly Rancher male, resulting in the Grapefruit we know today. Grapefruit quickly gained popularity within the British Columbia cannabis scene and still remains a popular choice for modern breeding projects.

TASTE & SMELL –

EFFECTS –

Her effects hit hard and fast, offering a cerebrally focused high with minimal physical effects. This feel-good Sativa is known to boost energy levels, enhance mood while providing an intense euphoric buzz.

MEDICAL USES –

Medically, this strain is effective in managing symptoms associated with PTSD, being beneficial for treating both anxiety and depression.

GROW INFO –

Grapefruit is considered a moderately difficult strain to cultivate. This tall stretchy strain produces lime-green buds that are light and fluffy despite their roundish structure. Buds are covered in long dark orange hairs, also having a solid trichome count, giving a frosted appearance and can display purple hues depending on phenotype. She has an indoor flowering period of eight to ten weeks and is ready for harvest by October when grown outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere.

SEED AVAILABILITY –

For those interested in acquiring Grapefruit genetics, this strain is no longer available for purchase in seed form although it’s quite possibly still floating around in clone form due to its popularity.
