Diamond OG is a clone-only hybrid with an unknown lineage as the breeder of this award-winning strain remains a mystery. She originates from the West Coast and is thought to be a cross of OG Kush and another unspecified Indica hybrid.
TASTE & SMELL –
Diamond OG has an aroma that is a blend of skunk, citrus and pine with hashy undertones. Once blazed, she has a predominantly citrus flavor with traces of pine on exhale.
EFFECTS –
The effects of this strain are quite potent and long-lasting, producing an overall warm euphoric full body buzz, accompanied by a stoney, hazy head high. Diamond OG is more suited for nighttime use, her heavy narcotic qualities leading to deep sedation and tranquility. For those not used to enjoying cannabis or with a generally low tolerance, it should be noted that Diamond OG’s high THC content puts her in a class of being one of those strains that must be respected!
MEDICAL USES –
Medically, she has been known to be beneficial in helping patients suffering from cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. Positive results have also been noted in treating common negative side-effects such as nausea, pain and lack of appetite.
GROW INFO –
Diamond OG is considered a relatively easy plant to grow. She is a low-maintenance strain that can take a bit of punishment and is not adverse to heavy feeding. She produces large dark green resinous buds, feathered with light orange hairs and frosted with trichomes. These short, bushy plants are suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Indoors, her flowering cycle runs for around nine to ten weeks. Outdoors, she is ready for harvest in mid-October when grown in the Northern Hemisphere. For increased yields, Diamond OG is a good candidate for using either Sea of Green or Screen of Green cultivation methods. Also, her pungent odor may cause alarm for those with security concerns!
