Named after the famous Jimi Hendrix classic of the same name, Purple Haze is a Sativa dominant hybrid with unknown origins. Online consensus suggests she is a cross of Purple Thai and Haze although it should be noted this is purely educated speculation. Despite her exact genetic identity being a mystery, she has been made available in seed form via several breeders/seed banks.

TASTE & SMELL –

Purple Haze has a strong earthy bouquet blended with hints of sweet blueberry and sharp spicy notes. Once blazed, her flavors are fruity sweet, reminiscent of grape, berries and backed with a spicy undertone.

EFFECTS –

One can expect a mentally stimulating experience that’s euphoric, thought-provoking and mildly psychedelic. Purple Haze’s Sativa qualities make her a good choice for a morning smoke! Her fast-acting energizing effects make for an overall uplifting and productive high. Furthermore, this potent long-lasting herb is renowned for its aura of positivity and has been noted as an aphrodisiac.

MEDICAL USES –

Medically, Purple Haze has been noted for her ability to benefit those with chronic fatigue. This strains uplifting qualities helping motivate to perform daily tasks.

GROW INFO –

This strain is considered a relatively easy plant to cultivate. She grows medium-height and is a bit shorter than a typical Haze. Her lateral branching has long internode spacing and she produces medium to large elongated spade-shaped buds, fluffy in appearance but surprisingly dense and patched with purple hues. Purple Haze is suitable for indoor cultivation as well as most outdoor climates. She has an indoor flowering period of around nine weeks and is ready for harvest by late October when grown outdoors in the Northern Hemisphere. Purple Haze is a hardy plant that responds well to super cropping and multiple toppings and is well suited to cultivation methods such as Scrog or Sea of Green.

SEED AVAILABILITY –

For those wishing to acquire Purple Haze genetics, there have been multiple variations released by various breeders over the years. Some good, some not so! As the original genetics are unknown we cannot point to a breeder holding the real McCoy but we can recommend Ace Seeds who have a stellar reputation for dealing in Sativa lines and offer multiple Purple Haze hybrids, available from their website and through verified online vendors.
