Dutch Treat, sometimes known as Dutch Crunch, is an 80% Indica dominant hybrid. Although this strain gained its popularity in the coffee shops of Amsterdam, overwhelming consensus would point to this strain being bred in Vancouver Canada by Jordan of the Islands. The lineage of Dutch Treat is unknown, although some have suggested she may be a mix of Northern Lights and Haze.

TASTE & SMELL –

This strain has a fruity, berry aroma with notes of candy and pine. Dutch Treat has a lingering fruity taste with hints of sweet earth and a woodsy back end.

EFFECTS –

This strain produces a fast-acting head-high that increases creativity. This is followed by a body-numbing buzz that sedates users, creating a powerful couch-lock effect. Due to the prevalent effects of the strain, Dutch Treat has been recommended for night-time use.

MEDICAL USES –

Dutch Treat’s high THC content and ability to sedate users have made the strain an ideal choice for combating a wide range of conditions, both mental and psychical. In regards to psychical issues, Dutch Treat helps patients dealing with arthritis, mild to chronic pain, nausea, PMS and migraines. This strain grows short and stocky in structure. She is considered a moderately easy strain to grow and a good choice for the novice grower. She excels indoors, producing up to 12 ounces per square meter of vibrant colored buds, resinous and caked in trichomes. Outdoors expect to harvest by late September in the Northern Hemisphere with yields averaging around 8 ounces per plant.
